Gemma is an multi award-winning Makeup Artist and Beauty Editor of luxury glossy bridal magazine British Bride.
She is experienced and respected within the beauty and fashion industry as well as private celebrity clientele.
Following her professional makeup training and winning her first national award she was then successfully offered a place on the highly coveted global Makeup: Mastered Accelerator programme. It provided opportunities to learn from, be coached by and work with the best industry professionals within fashion, makeup, hairstyling and photography all around the world including the contributing editor of Vogue magazine and the world class Alex Box. In 2018, Gemma competed against 28 other Makeup Artists around the UK to win Makeup Specialist of the Year at the English Wedding Awards meaning she has won awards based on both her creative work and bridal specialism. Gemma has also attended a masterclass with celebrity Makeup Artist Karla Powell, where she then developed a passion for the niche lip art genre.
Alongside her freelance work in fashion, magazines and red-carpet events Gemma is Makeup Director for the cult 1970’s disco stage show “Brutus Gold’s Love Train” which tours around the UK and internationally.
Gemma’s work has been published in magazines internationally including Vogue Italia and she leads on the beauty editorials for British Bride magazine.
She is currently represented by Tyne Tees Models Agency for her creative work.
Gemma is based in the North East, UK but travels nationally and internationally for work.
